The A2E Institute recognizes that many of the health problems faced by humanity are the direct result of our failure to understand our essential connection to the natural environment.

Alienation of Environment can be defined as the long-term separation from the environment for which we are adapted. As most of us live in conditions of Alienation of Environment, diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes and many other diseases are common.

Even without major illness, Alienation of Environment causes stress and less than optimum health. Anti-Alienation of Environment defines methods of living that are more in touch with the natural environment and that could lead to better health and looking and feeling better.

Global Warming

Global warming may have an adverse affect on human health because it could further alienate us from our optimum environment.

Alienation of Environment also explains many of the causes of possible global warming.  Examples are improper agricultural practices that include deforestation.  In addition, the world's 1.5 billion cows produce large quantities of methane.  Methane is almost 10 times more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas.

A2ei recommends that a broad approach be adopted to combat any possible global warming including adopting a plan to develop fusion energy to provide abundant, clean, safe energy without the air pollution caused by the use of fossil fuel.

Energy and agriculture is discussed in the eBook A = A2E  A Formula for Better Health.
